Dish Network Update While Programs Are Set To Record?

With the Thanksgiving holidays coming up there are several mini-marathons on tv scheduled. I have my DVR set to record throughout the evening. My question is that normally at 3am the receiver is set to update. If I allow this to occur will it disrupt the recordings that I have set during that time ?

It will postpone updating if you are recording.
