can the plastic cover on the control panel on a stove can be replaced?
I have a black Kenmore stove and my auto-mute pulverized easily off the plastic cover of the control panel and when I went to clean it with the fat that came out, just like the color! now it is a faded black instead of shiny black. nothing happened to the control panel, thank you God. I wanted to now if I can order this part and just replace instead of having to watch my 5 month old stove, like its 10 years. please help! if it can be replaced I do not know were to start looking for replacement.
Remove buttons and hide the areas that you don t want to paint. Then buy high gloss black paint spray equipment. It will look like new. Of course, you will need to prepare the painting surface properly first. Slightly sand with fine steel wool. I think you'll be surprised how good it looks. Most of the hardware unit sell paint. If you replace go to Sears and order another one. Kenmore is sold at Sears.
