How much voltage does a stun gun / taser need no make an attacker unconscious?
I'm thinking of getting one since we can't have firearms on company property and I need some protection to walk to the parking lot in the evening.
The strongest stun gun I can find is 3 million volts. Is this enough to make an attacker unconscious?
It's not the volts that do the job, it's the amps. 
TASER's have 50k volts, and render people harmless (at least it did me) but not unconscious.
