Dual Codec
Downgrading from Vista to XP.?
I have a HP pavilion dv4 lap top and I want to know if I downgrade from Vista to XP will my drivers be able to support it? I was talking to one of my friends about downgrading and he told me that some drivers are made to only support Vista and not XP. I absolutely HATE vista. So here is my system info:
ACPI x64-based pc
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
Optiarc DVD RW AD-7561S ATA Device
Agere systems HDA Modem
Generic PnP Monitor
AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-core Mobile RM-72
IDT high definition audio CODEC
Microsoft iSCSI Initiator
plus more but I'm guessing those are some of the main things to be looked at?
I'm not really sure. I tried finding info on google but I couldn't find much of anything.

I've downgraded 2 laptops in the past from Vista to XP. Now if you're dealing with a high-street bought pc then usually they come with a drivers disc, which, in my case, contained drivers for all hardware for Vista, XP, and even in some cases earlier versions of Windows. I recommend driverguide for drivers. They usually have anything you'd need. Check first however, and find all your drivers before the downgrade, otherwise it can get very annoying!
