Combo Night
Can I use a 15w tube head into a 65w solid state combo through the input? I don't have a cab yet?
I'm getting a vox night train head, and I have a fender cyber deluxe combo, I'm wondering if I can plug the amp from the heads speaker out straight to the input on my cyber or if I have to wait to get a cab?
If you're asking if this setup will produce sound, the answer is yes. As long as you keep the volume under control, you should be ok. I had a friend who ran a Fender Super Champ's (tube combo) output through a Fender Frontman 25W solid state just to get some extra volume. I wouldn't turn the head's volume up too loud, because the solid state isn't built to handle a high-powered source like that. Until you get a cab though, that setup will suffice. Congrats on getting a Vox, by the way! I have the AC4TV half-stack, and even though it's only 4 watts, I've basically stopped using my Peavey Classic 30, as the Vox sounds so good.
