im a nanny for two [twins] eight year olds. what to do?
ill be a nanny from 7 to 5 daily. the parents asked me to try to get the kids to get more outdoorsy and away from the computers, wii .. etc. i've already created a list of things we can all do. i heard Savanna say she wants to make a lemonade stand one day. her mother told me Savannah did not know how to ride a bicycle so that can also be something else I can do... I figured on rainy days we can color ... make magnets/collages. something other than computers and what not.
If you have any really cool ideas for the kids and i to do - please just list below. i really have no clue what all we can do!!

Make a scavenger hunt. Or a mystery treasure hunt type thing. Kids like that kind of stuff. You could make the clues be fairly simple, or harder depending upon the kid's ages/skills. You can teach the little girl hopscotch. The lemonad stand sounds very fun! Also, girls like to play "teaparty" outside w/ water in cups and just pour it. Take long walks, like to the library, or a nearby gas station, etc. Are there any outdoor areas near their house? Like a creek or wooded area? I don't know if you want to take them places or are allowed to, but museums are more fun for kids than you'd might think. Make a picnic outside. Or take some paper outside and pretend to be artists and "sketch" the scenery!
