Where is the receiver for the car remote located on a 97 Ford Taurus?
I know that the remote works because I checked it at auto zone, but I can't get it to work on the car. I've searched the car inside and out but I can't seem to find the receiver on the car.
I assume you are asking about the remote keyless entry fob.
(and not a remote starter device)
If so, you only need to reprogram the transmiter(s) following these instructions :
To reprogram the transmitters, place the key in the
ignition and turn from OFF to ON five times in rapid
succession (within 10 seconds). After doors
lock/unlock, press any control on all transmitters (up
to four). When completed, turn the ignition to OFF.
The doors will lock/unlock one last time to confirm
completion of program mode.
All transmitters must be programmed at the same
time.
