mini cctv camera to aeriel in loft?
i would like to wire a mini cctv camera to the aeriel in the loft so i could watch the pictures & sound on any tv, the camera has two connectors, 1 x white & 1 x red, is it possible to get adaptors to plug into the aeriel splitter in the loft.

The connectors are for the sound and picture outputs (A/V) of the camera. The electrical signals coming from them are designed to be fed directly into something like a video tape recorder. You cannot connect these to the television aerial. The aerial is intended to receive transmissions therefore you will have to connect your camera to a "transmitter".
To transmit the signals "on air" you must feed the camera A/V outputs into a UHF modulator. This will convert the camera's picture and sound into something capable of being picked up by your tv aerial and tuned in by the television set.
Maplin electronics sell a "Programmable Universal Modulator". This will accept A/V inputs and squirt them out through a co-axial connector. It is intended that this is fed directly into the tv aerial socket. But if you place the box very close to to the roof aerial and run a (insulated) wire from the centre pin of the box aerial output socket it may just act as enough of a transmitter for the aerial to pick up the signal. Run this wire so that it lies alongside one of the horizontal elements of the tv aerial.
You then just run the tv set auto-tune and it should detect the camera as if it was just another tv station.
There are other UHF transmitters available if you google for them.
